$2.5M virtual land auction, $2.2M raised by MetaSoccer, and CryptoDragons get excited

Metaverse Group has acquired a huge area of land and has stated that it has no plans to discontinue buying plots of metaverse land across several metaverse platforms.

Metaverse Group, based in Decentraland, reported on November 23 that it had accomplished "the largest Metaverse land acquisition in history."'s subsidiary bought 116 parcels of land in Decentraland "in the heart of the Fashion Street district." The total size of the land acquired is 6,090 square feet for 618,000 MANA tokens worth around $2.5 million.
The estate will be developed for fashion events and commerce by Metaverse Group. It will also establish alliances with fashion brands seeking to enhance their presence in the Metaverse, particularly in Decentraland. "Fashion is the next massive area for growth in the Metaverse," stated Sam Hamilton, the Decentraland Foundation's Head of Content.
The transaction is one of many for Metaverse Group since became its primary stakeholder. On November 17, the publicly listed Canadian blockchain investment firm invested $2.75 million in Metaverse Group, expanding its shares of the business from 50% to 70%.
The funds will be used by Metaverse Group to secure more land in Metaverses such as Decentraland, Somnium Space, The Sandbox, Cryptovoxels, and Upland.
MetaSoccer raises funds
In the Metaverse, MetaSoccer has raised $2.2 million to create soccer games and a soccer club management platform.
Play Ventures, Defiance Capital, Parafi Capital, DAO Maker, Kyros Ventures, Metrix Capital, and Peech Capital led the funding round.
MetaSoccer enables users to create virtual soccer teams, play matches, and manage the team throughout a season. The Play to Earn (P2E) game enables users to earn MSU tokens by trading players, winning matches, and obtaining platform sponsorships.

Patxi Barrios, co-founder and COO of MetaSoccer, stated that he intends “to create a new generation of digital-native football players and clubs which will achieve similar ratings to those of professional football leagues.”
Robotos NFTs will be released by Time Studios.
Time Studios, Time Magazine's television and film production arm, is developing a children's series themed on Pablo Stanley's Robotos NFT collection.
The Robotos NFT collection includes 10,000 randomly produced "droids" assembled from more than 170 features.
This expansion into the NFT space is part of the studio's overall strategy to create and deliver innovative storytelling methods across several media channels. Keith A. Grossman, President of Time, stated:“There is so much incredible IP being developed within the NFT space. We are proud of the role Time can play by providing these creators with our platform and access to alternative mediums.”
Time has been supporting NFTs, and on September 23rd, it released its TIMEpieces NFT collection, which includes still images and animations with a "Building a Better Future" theme.
CryptoDragons Eggs sell for 559 ETH.
On November 22 at 7:30 p.m. UTC, CryptoDragons sold out its whole second round of 1,000 'Eggs' for a total of 559 ETH ($2.3 million).
CryptoDragons is an NFT collection of Dragon Eggs that eventually hatch. The project started in September 2021 and has sold 1,500 Eggs as of now.
The second round of Egg reservations includes 998 Random Eggs, 1 Epic Egg, and 1 Legendary Egg.
"We are grateful to our community for another successful round," said Nari, the project's CEO and co-founder.

Royal has raised $55 million in funding in its Series A round. JD Ross and DJ Justin Blau co-founded the on-chain music platform, which closed the round-headed by Andreesen Horowitz.
